Not Set data in Google Analytics?

If l look at a specific html page in Google Analytics and use the segment tool to display the keywords that resulted in visitors arriving at this particular page l receive a (not set) result that accounts for just over 50% of the overall keywords.

It doesn't seem to make a difference which page l view l still get this section entitled (not set).

How can l prevent this from coming up so that l can get accurate results otherwise Google Analytics will be useless for me?!|||maybe you should consider an alternative

Traffic reporting tools

There are a few traffic reporting tools to see your web site traffic. I will mention 3 that I like

1. The software that is used by your hosting company.

Your hosting company might have webTrends or similar software. I prefer these, since they are accurate and show you (almost) everything.

2. Google analytics - a very popular solution and rightfully so.

You can register here http://www.google.com/analytics/. The reports are for savvy users and the new reporting version is even more complicated. Overall this is a wonderful (free) solution.

3. Another solution in Beta is "Enquire", you can find it here Enquisite.

It gives you great reports, but only about traffic that came from search engines. There is nothing about traffic that came from "referring sites".

You can have them all or just one.

They are all good traffic reporting tools.

Where did Google's Traffic Estimator go?

Currently trying to get keyword stats and found that Google's Traffic Estimator Sandbox has a login preceding use of the tool.

Anyone know if this is an intentional move by Google? I wouldn't be surprised... now they can link all search term research to Google adwords buyers!

Ideas/thoughts... am I becoming too paranoid of Google's unyielding (desire for total) power?

Here's my TES bookmark:

https://adwords.google.com/select/Traffi鈥?/a>|||You can create a new Google account different from your Adwords account. I have a different account for accessing Google Webmaster Tools, a different one for Adwords and a different one for Blogger, and a different one for Adsense.|||They ditched it.

YouTube Keyword Research question?

On YouTube videos - should you do keyword research putting the same titles and data in as you find on Adwords tool?

Eg: if a term gets searched for a lot on Google - is there a good chance it also does on Youtube?|||Yes it is necessary to do keyword research and you should add tag in such a way that it goes well|||Maybe just use the "main thought" .. coz it is harder to search in youtube than google

"The number of words increase, the lesser chance it is" so use only the main thought

Google voice for iphone doesn't integrate with iphone contacts?

Why does the google voice for iphone app NOT integrate with the iphone contacts? Please don't say to use the "quick dial" because that's a sad and pathetic excuse for a list of contacts.

So - end result is that when we make calls from this iphone we can't easily do it using our contacts list *AND* ensure that the recipient of the call sees our Google voice number. The keyword here is "easy". We should just open the Google Voice app, select a CONTACT (not a quick dial entry), and be on our way with making a call that will display our Google Voice number to the recipient.

So pathetic for what could have been a good tool. Please tell me there is a better way.|||Try this:

Connect your iPhone to iTunes. Click on your iPhone on the left column. this will take you to your iPhone settings. Click INFO on the main window. Under Contacts, select Sync Contacts with {Google Contacts} Click Configure to add your Google account. This will take your iPhone contacts and put them into Google Contacts.

Why isn't my site getting anywhere in google?

Hey, I put my site together about a month ago.

I hired a couple of writers, bought plenty of pictures, and work on it everyday - so the content is good.

I added my site to my google screen name, and I've already gone through the webmaster tool checklist.

I also have lots of links (including a few youtube videos, hubpages, and ezines).

Even after all of that, I'm not getting anywhere on google searches.

On the google webmaster tools, it still says I have zero links, zero search queries, zero impressions, and zero keywords.|||I doesn't look like you have a sitemap. Try adding a XML Sitemap to your site.

How are you tracking your visitors? You can try Google Analytics.

It takes a while if your site is not unique in your field.|||This may be because Google has not registered your site yet. 2 years ago I was working for a Website developer and each site took about 2.5 months to get a registration completed. When you sign up for webmaster you are agreeing to allow Google to put your site onto their search results. They may decline it later. Wait some time and keep in contact with them.
